    Rachel has worked with Kneaded Energy over 10 years and has earned a rare weekday schedule with a strong following. Rachel considers her massage intentional and intuitive. She works very slow and addresses the body superficially, then deeper, then back to superficial. She uses firm pressure and is able to adjust to the clients need. Rachel is great at following a problem and working out different conditions. She likes to utilize cupping and GuaSha for rehab and physical recovery. She calls her massage “a little bit relaxation and a little bit dig out an issue”. Rachel is from Pennsylvania, she loves traveling, spending time with family and you will most always find her outside or in the water.

    Lauren is modest in talking about her work but we know as a 9 year of veteran at Kneaded Energy, she is intentional about her work and uses a scientific approach to the body. She uses medium to firm pressure at a slow-to-medium pace. If there is a condition that needs to be addressed she’s on it. She has been one of the Sports Massage therapists for Kneaded Energy working races across the city. Her bodywork is specific, and she adjusts pressure to meet the needs of the client. Lauren has earned a weekday schedule only. Outside of work, Lauren is dedicated to fitness, loves being outdoors and in nature, and she loves dogs.

    Eboni currently works PRN for Kneaded Energy. Her main work focus is teaching dance to children and works with professional athletic team cheerleading squads. Over the years Eboni has described her massage as deep-to-firm pressure with medium flow. She is intentional utilizing her scientific knowledge to work the layers of the muscles. She watches the client’s breath, moves with the tension and works to affect the fascia. She is able to adjust pressure to the client’s need but can take your breath away (in a good way) from working that trigger point. She uses myofascial stretching and experienced sports massage and stretching to add to her work. She is all about her client’s well being and recovery. Outside of massage Eboni loves to be active in the gym or outside in nature. Eboni loves giving back to the community.

    Shawntelle describes her massage conventional with a bit of intuition and significant intentionality. Her work is meditative and spiritual. She starts off working general area, then moves to the specific, working in layers. She finishes with general, calming techniques. She likes to move with the client’s breath. While she is good at relieving mental stress, she is also comfortable with deeper trigger point work and can throw an elbow in for deep pressure. Doing whatever is needed to follow problem areas, she might add cupping or stretching. Shawntelle roots for the Denver Broncos, she loves crystals and anything 80’s themed.

    Nick describes his work as artistic and scientific. His work is intentional and detailed, deep and firm. He has good flow and can be pointy when the work requires it. He tends to use medium speed and rhythmic flow. He moves with the clients tension and fascia. He starts superficially, then works more deeply into the layers, then back to a general overall smooth-out. Nick considers himself a knot crushing and trigger point happy, and utilizes tools if needed to protect his hands. He might offer in cupping or stretching if he feels like it benefits his client. He believes in working 360 degrees around the body, leaving the client with more range of motion than they came in with. He’s all about helping a client with sleep, mental stress, recovery, rehabilitation and overall good health. Nick wants you to know he used to be in a couple of bands, he has kicked some old habits and he’s a NEW DAD!

    Emily considers her massage intentional and detailed yet artistic with good flow. She moves with rhythm and is able to adjust pressure to the client’s need. She will use full forearm for overall pressure and her elbow helps her find that “spot”. She loves myofascial stretching and working 360 around the body. Emily’s work is specific, while also relaxing. Her techniques assist with rehabilitation, well being, recovery, overall health and relieving mental stress. Outside of work you’ll nearly always find Emily outside. She loves hiking, the great outdoors….and her cats.

    Jessie considers her massage to be artistically intentional. She moves slow to medium to allow the clients' body to relax into the work. She starts superficially and generally, once the tissue is warmed she becomes more specific working deeper into the layers of muscles. She is sure to leave the body with calming strokes after working deeply. Friction and jostling aid in her work. Her techniques assist with overall stress relief. Outside of work, Jessie is a major foodie and loves cooking. Her ultimate goal is for her family to have their own homestead and (although she adores her own animals best) she cares for all animals.

    Courtney describers her massage as intentional, based in science, detailed but with good flow. At times she can be pointy but also overall firm pressure. She likes to warm up the superficial layers before diving into deeper layers of muscle. She is known to crush a few knots and utilizes cupping, skin rolling, acupressure, compression and trigger point. She utilizes forearm, fist and elbows to protect her thumbs. She loves to follow a problem, addressing a specific issue or a condition that has set into the body. She is great at lymphatic massage and can use cupping with this modality as well. She works 360 around the body, loves releasing tension, mental stress, creating better circulation, digestion, sleep and emotional release. Courtney wants you to know she loves going to the beach. She also loves learning new things, especially facts and new hobbies. And life is not complete without her animals.

    Carrie describes her work as intentional and slow, starting out with general warming of the tissue before working down into the muscle layers, becoming specific and detailed before leaving that area again with general strokes. Carrie can easily adjust her pressure for the clients need as she moves with the clients tension and fascia. She can follow a problem and work with it until the client feels it’s been addressed. If you have certain conditions that need consideration, Carrie is a great therapist for you. She loves aiding in a client’s physical recovery and enjoys working with performing or weekend athletes and can give a great sports massage. Carrie is originally from a small town near Pittsburgh, PA. She earned her Bachelors in Psychology. She loves being physical, running and hiking.

    Whitney completed her massage diploma at the same time she was in school to become an Occupational Therapist assistant at Durham Tech. Her work is a medium pace, with firm pressure and has a great flow to it. She works superficially before going deeper into muscle layers and then smooths it all out in the end. She will address problem areas with a 360 approach. Her work is “a little bit relaxation and a little bit dig out the issue.” She can easily throw in some hot stones or cupping. Whitney is an Aggie Alumni, is originally from New Jersey and worked as a CNA for 15 years. For fun, she’s going to have her nails done and go to the beach.

Her massage is intended for overall well being, stress relief, emotional release and mental stress. Jo loves cooking and trying new cuisines. She is committed to self care and to her love of dogs.

Outside of work, Abby is a plant mom, has 2 dogs (a mutt and a yorkie) and loves all kinds of music, especially live shows.

    Chris describes his massage as conventional and intentional but he uses his intuition to move with the clients tension and fascia. Chris likes to create a good flow that is slow-to-medium, remaining aware of the clients breath. Chris uses firm pressure, utilizing forearms, fists, elbows and tools to protect his hands. Some of his tools include friction, skin rolling, stretching, hot stones used therapeutically along with compression and tapotement in to the larger muscles. Chris loves to work a problem, crush a knot, dig out a problem and myofascially stretch, floss and release areas of tension by working 360 degrees around the body. His massage is relaxing but you know he has worked specifically to aid in physical recovery, mental stress, rehabilitation, injury recovery and overall wellbeing. Chris believes in the power of emotional release and is comfortable with spiritually allowing the body to let go. Chris is originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida so of course he loves the beach and other outdoor activities like mountain biking, hiking and loves a great game of soccer. Chris is interested in health, fitness, spiritual practice and personal growth.

She likes to warm the tissue before working the layers of the muscles more specifically and then warms the tissue coming out of the detailed work. She likes to add her forearm or elbow for depth and she utilizes kneading, myofascial release, compression, friction, jostling and working the body 360 degrees to make sure she as addressed the whole issue. Lydiah follows the clients tension to introduce stress relief and increase overall sleep. Outside of work, Lydiah wants to be outside in nature. Her motto is “Roller Skating is Life”. In her spare time she is teaching herself to crochet.

    Thomas came to massage therapy with a deep understanding of Rolfing. He is detailed, scientific and intentional. He works with a medium pace and his pressure is deep, firm and bone piercing but can adjust to clients preferred pressure. Thomas does a lot of myofascial stretching, flossing and releasing. Thomas follows a problem, working specifically so if what you’re looking for is relaxation, remember to remind him. He is all about rehabilitation, assisting with injuries, range of movement and working 360 degrees around the body. Outside of work, Thomas is a ELON Phoenix Fanatic. He loves sports, namely hockey and whitewater sports. Thomas was born and raised in North Carolina.
