Our science curriculum covers all the requirements of Anatomy and Physiology, Muscular-Skeletal and Pathology requirements. Students learn in a series of sequentially organized classes that integrate with one another.
Fundamental Knowledge of Human Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology.
- Anatomy is the study of the structures of the human body and their positional relationship to one another.
Physiology is the study of how the body and its individual parts function in normal body processes.
Kinesiology– study the mechanics of how things work in relation to human movement and motion.
Pathology – the study of diseases most commonly seen by professional massage therapists.
Focus on soft tissue structures primarily treated by massage therapists.
Location and applied palpation of structures.
Application of specific anatomy through postural assessment, range of motion, stretching, stance and gait.
Focus on clinical reasoning process.
