Step 3: Admissions Interview

√ You've chosen your school.  Visited or attended a monthly event.
√ You've submitted your completed Application along with Application Fee ($30)
√ You've copied your HS Diploma or requested a transcript from your HS 

Now you're ready to set up your Admissions Interview.  

If we have received your application, we will contact you and schedule your interview.  If you still have your application, you can call us to schedule your interview.  Ask for Lesley, she can help you with the scheduling. 

We want to meet you, get an idea about you and your school goals and determine if you are a good fit with our program.  We have limited class sizes and although we hope to make room for each potential student, we need to make sure this is what you really want and can be successful in your pursuit.  If you are anxious to get the ball rolling, you are welcome to call and set the appointment for your Interview.

Please be prepared to discuss why you want to come to massage school, why you feel you are a good candidate, tell us about your support system (friends and family)and how you plan to pay for your education.  This is the perfect time to pay your deposit to reserve your space in the class you want to enroll in.  Be ready to discuss your books, supplies and schedule. 

Bring with you the completed application and your state issued ID or driver's license.  If you have a copy of your HS transcript or diploma, please bring that with you.  After the interview we will let you know if you have been accepted.  If you're accepted it's time to finish the application packet.  Make sure, on your behalf, we have all of the following:

  • A copy of your College Transcript or a High School Diploma or equivalent. 
  • You should be in good health and free of communicable diseases. 
  • We need you to have the physical, mental and emotional resources necessary for the safe and effective practice of massage therapy. 
  • We prefer that you have visited an Open House or Information Session. 
  • We need you to be willing to make the necessary commitment to attend class and complete all course requirements. 
  • You should be able to present proof of having recieved (1) professional massage from a licensed provider. 
  • We need you to completed an application and submit a $30 non-refundable application fee. 
  • We require 3 reference letters; (1) work related, (1) non-family professional to speak to your professionalism and (1) to speak to your integrity. 
  • We require that you write a hand written 500 word (or less) essay explaining why you would like to attend our Professional Massage Therapy Diploma Program.
